The other day something brought the thought of omnipotence to my attention. Well, not necessarily the thought of omnipotence such as the less thought of negative side of omnipotence.
Not that I have never thought about these things before, just that I never vocalized them.
Omnipotent: All powerful.
Under this definition we could just shorten it and say God, unless you have a religious problem with it....
However that is a good way of putting it, being omnipotent is being a God.
Now normally if someone asked you a question similar to "If you had the chance to be a God would you?" and the answer is normally an enthusiastic "YES!"
But in the end, would that really be something to be desired? Of course being able to do anything at anytime would allow you to have some amazing fun. But after a while the fun would wear off and you would be left alone and bored (I say alone as normally without having someone to relate to you will alienate yourself and who could possible relate to a god other than some ego maniacal narcissist). If you can simply make anything happen then things lose their worth.
If I was to just wave my hand and conjure up my favorite meal, or not just that but 20 them accompanied by a sexy model holding them then I would no doubt be tired of them within the hour.
You may disagree but the fact is it will lose its enjoyment factor.
Of course there is the matter of sex, sexual stimulation/fantasies etc which will definitely be brought up in these type of conversations. Well that is great after a while however, eventually the amount of dopamine you produce when doing so will degenerate and it will also not be enjoyable. Atleast that is what I think.
However, as with everything regarding Gods, Deities, and any other omnipotent things there is always the paradoxical matters. Such as "Well if you do anything then you can make it so every time you do a certain action (engage in sex) then you could make it feel amazing, every time and you could make it never get old. Well I am not one to discuss paradoxes as there is essentially no way to end the discussion without an enraged "fuck you" to the opposing debater.
